Pairing & sync

Connect your devices without creating an account. Device linking establishes cryptographic trust between them.

Account-less model

Noti-Clean does not use usernames or passwords. Each device has its own key pair. When you link two devices, they exchange public keys and trust each other directly.

Link a new device

1. On the device that is already set up, open Settings → Devices → Add device.
2. Choose Show QR code or Share linking code.
3. On the new device, install Noti-Clean, grant notification access, then scan the QR code or enter the linking code.
4. Wait for confirmation — both devices should show each other in the device list.

What syncs

• Notification state (read, cleared, grouped) between linked devices
• Device metadata needed to route encrypted messages

Synchronization requires network access to the Noti-Clean broker. Notification text and metadata travel only inside encrypted envelopes between linked devices; the broker stores encrypted data blocks briefly and cannot read them.

Offline behavior

Each device works offline. When connectivity returns, pending envelopes are delivered and applied. See Ask for troubleshooting synchronization delays.

Unlink or revoke

Remove a device from Settings → Devices. The removed device can no longer decrypt new synchronization traffic.
